The Soul Era Event: Macy's Celebrates Black History Month

 Join Macy’s in celebrating and saluting Black History Month and “The Soul Era” of style with celebrity stylists June Ambrose and costume designer, Johnetta Boone. The undeniable talent and amazing work of these two incredible ladies speak for themselves. They’ve styled superstars such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Will Smith, and Zoe Saldana and have been featured in Vogue Germany, New York Magazine,VH1 and HBO to name a few. 

June Ambrose and Johnetta Boone are partnering with Macy’s to give us  an entertaining and stylish look back at the fashion, accessories and attitude that rocked the runways of the '60s and '70s, A period of that had an undeniable influence on the way we look and dress today. So it is a great way to reflect on how the Soul Era influenced us and our parents/grandparents.

There is NO purchase necessary to be a part of the conversation and They are coming to a Macy’s near you! Below are some of the cities and locations in which Macy’s will host their Black History Month event:

• Macy’s Center City (Philadelphia) - February 11, 5pm
• Macy’s Metro Center (Washington DC) - February 12, 5:30pm
• Macy’s State Street (Chicago) - February 19, 5:30pm
• Macy’s Union Square (San Francisco) - February 25, 6pm
• Macy’s Baldwin Hills (Los Angeles) - February 26, 6:30pm

Following the panel, there will be a reception for the attendees and lots of fashion to choose from. With June and Johnetta present, it’s no question that there will also be tons of laughs, dancing (Hopefully tee hee) and  inspiration. Super  excited that I will be attending the Los Angeles event on February 26th. Hope to see you all there!
