Blue & Yellow African Queen

"For Africa to me... is more than a glamorous fact. It is a historical truth. No man can know where he is going unless he knows exactly where he has been and exactly how he arrived at his present place. " Maya Angelou
Hello everyone! I am still recovering from the flu but here is what I wore last Sunday. As you may recall, it was International Women's Day and it is custom for women in my country (DR Congo) to be dressed in African attire on that day. So even though I am not back home, I still observe that culture.
This lovely 2 piece was given to me by a good friend who is more like a sister (Merci Gloria!). She got it made on her trip back home last year.
The weather having warmed up, this was the perfect look to wear. I paired it with this fabulous necklace and African prints bangles. The colors being so loud already, I decided not to wear earrings. To finish off the look, I rocked a blue purse that I completely adore (Thank you baby :-}) and black sandals, because I didn't want to overdo it with the matching.
Let me know what you think by commenting below and as always, thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you subscribe to the blog via email to be first to know whenever a new post is up.
Love,
