After reviewing over 60+ applications, this year's face of Ankara Festival Los Angeles (AFLA) has been chosen. The winner of the 2015 Face of AFLA competition is DR Congo -born (Woot Woot! Y'all know I'm Congolese right? ) Ana Labelle Matiyabo! A recent LVN graduate from Nightingale School of Nursing, a health coach/dance fitness instructor, and a ‘fashionista’ with a deep appreciation for all things Africa. With her bubbly personality and a smile that lights up a room, Ana Labelle Matiyabo will be an excellent ambassador and a perfect representative for Ankara Festival Los Angeles. Ana Labelle Matiyabo has modeled for a number of emerging designers and is ready to take on the next steps in her modeling career. Ana’s charming personality and humility is what captured the hearts' of the judges and the whole AFLA Team the most.

As the face of AFLA she gets the opportunity to walk the runway at Ankara Festival Los Angeles, a feature in the Ankara Festival magazine, her photos will be used on all promotional materials including but not limited to print and social media. She will work with a major cosmetic company on their product launch campaign. She will also represent AFLA at various events in the United States and across all promotional platforms.
