Many factors must be considered when choosing what you want to wear.
The Cut, color, shape, texture, pattern and
shine of your clothes are all very important things to look at with the pieces you
put on. Another factor to consider is the fabric of your article of clothing. Mixing different fabrics is not hard, but if you don't do it right, you're going to stand out in a wrong way.
Mixing a denim top with an Ankara skirt was never in my imagination; but a few days ago, I was looking for a a top to pair with this skirt and stumbled (literally) upon this gorgeous denim bodysuit that had been sitting in the closet for far too long (*insert hiding face emoji here smh).
After my little fashion epiphany, I had to make a photo op happen quickly and how cool that it happened while I was rocking these fabulous bantu knots, right? I love this hairstyle so much especially because of the ridiculously slow amount of time it took to achieve. I will definitely be rocking it a lot this summer.
Anywho, for this look, I chose to wear a bold lip, gold accessories and finish off with blue sandals to complement the skirt. Have you ever mixed denim with African prints? if not, What 'non conventional' combinations have you rocked before? Please share in the comments below. Do not be afraid to try new things with your style. And remember, as long as you feel good, you look good!
