Strolling Downtown LA in DVF

Hello lovelies! Congratulations, you made it to half way through the year 2017! You have 6 more months

to take a look at your resolution list and start working on those goals you set out in the beginning of the year. That is if you're one of these people. Today's look features a gorgeous number but one of my absolute favorite designers: Ms Diane Von Furstenberg! She knows a woman's body and as she puts it, she designs clothes for women who love being women. So her designs are feminine, classy and timeless. Of course her dresses are not always on the affordable side but thanks to Thrifting (See this post) and awesome friends like Johanna, I'm able to rock her pieces.

Downtown LA was the perfect spot to take a stroll at and shoot this flowy dress as the architecture and the weather seem to agree as well. I didn't want to take away any shine from the dress so I didn't accessorize too much. Just added the bracelets for a lil pop of color but other than that, everything else was kept quite simple. Off to bed but I can't let the day go by without wishing a Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Congolese! 57 years ago today we gained our 'independence' but are we independent? Not going to go political here but I hope we take time to think about our country and work toward making it the best country it can be. XO
